Picker Sisters-NOVA Style
It's every vintage pickers dream to walk into a warehouse where there are aisles of furniture, antiques, clothing, and, best of all, tchotchkes (pronounced chach-keys). My big sister Janet and I took to the road last Friday to find treasures buried in piles antiques. Strasburg Virginia is a small town with a few stop lights, but it's the place to go for great vintage deals and the dealers are kind and fair. It's definitely a little hidden treasure in middle Virginia.
Aisles upon aisles, just to give you an idea.
We worked from left to right, starting in a room full of books and vinyls. It was one of those moments when I wished I had a bigger house, more walls, and a record player. One of those things could be remedied that day. ;)
Diana Ross Live!!! Get it!!!!
And then, of course, there were just hours of picking and looking through entertaining odds and ends.
I found one of the main things on my list and got a great deal for it. This pram was $75 with 20% off if paying with cash or check. I have been wanting one but couldn't find a way to purchase it and have it shipped for under $300. I figured someone on the east coast must be selling one. I'm glad I waited!!! Baby Sanders will be so stylish in this Cadillac of baby strollers.
After shopping, we capped off a great day of vintaging by visiting this little mom and pop frozen yogurt place across the street that had 24 flavors and overly generous portions. Overall, I would say it was a pretty successful day.
Until next time, my friends...keepin' it vintage!
