A Cookbook, With Love
A few years ago, my mother gave me the sweetest Christmas gift. It was a blank cookbook that she bought for me and filled with some of my favorite family recipes. She even included little notes of encouragement and tips throughout the book. It was made and given with so much love. I have always treasured it.
I was super inspired to spring clean and reorganize the house this week. I decided what better way to celebrate my immensely clean kitchen than by baking something (aka, making a huge mess!!!). So, I got out the family cookbook and decided that I would make one my favorite recipes and share it with all of you.
If you link over to my recipes page, you will find the recipe for my mom's Applesauce Cake, a true bite of nostalgia for me and a tasty treat for family and friends.
I hope you enjoy the process, the warm apple scent of the cake baking, and some quality time with your closies.
